Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout set to begin on 5 October

GOOGLE HAS CONFIRMED that the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow will reportedly begin in just one week’s time.

Following an earlier report out of Android Police claiming that the Marshmallow rollout will begin on 5 October, Google on Tuesday announced that the rollout will indeed begin next week.

The new version of Android will be available to download on the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 and Nexus Player next week, when factory images will also be made available. This means that the software unlikely will come to the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012) or Nexus 10, which will remain on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
