AS WE GET used to lights that come on when we walk into the room and being able to see our pet peeing on the carpet live on our smartphone, there’s a whole other world of the Internet of Things (IoT) to consider.

Some 86 percent of enterprises are expected to use open source technologies in their IoT infrastructures, and the responsibility lies with open source vendors to explore the possibilities for locking down networks effectively to protect against the myriad of new data points this creates.
