Microsoft’s bouncing baby Windows 10 has jumped straight in at fourth position in desktop operating system (OS) popularity with a respectable 5.21 percent of the market.

The first full month figures from Netmarketshare shows that the new arrival has taken users, most notably from Windows 7, but also from Windows 8.x. The world’s most popular operating system dropped to 57.67 percent (-3.06) month on month as people took advantage of the free upgrade.
